About The Founder
It’s actually quite amazing I ended up in Cheyenne, Wyoming investing in real estate and helping others out; to say the least I am very proud to be here!
My name is Igor Kalem. I was originally born in Bosnia, my family emigrated to the United States in '98 following a war, and we ended up settling in our roots in the open spaces of Wyoming of all places. I attended college in Wyoming and began investing in real estate part time in the area in 2010.... from that moment forward I had a passion for real estate! My primary career was welding, and I was a pipeline welder for many years. My back ground in Blue Collar labor has put a humble perspective on the meaning of hard work and being able to help people out. I love taking homes from an eyesore to the envy of the block.
In my younger years I had briefly lived in Florida and absolutely loved it! When it came time to make the decision to take Blue Collar Home Buyers full time in 2019 I had recently learned of Hurricane Michael's destruction. Thinking about where my skills could help the most amount of people possible I ended up grabbing my stuff and my dog and moving to Panama City, Florida! I am very humbled to be a part of the community and am extremely eager to be at the service of Panama City and my fellow residents!
I grew up on very humble beginnings and know what its like to need a little bit of help. I worked hard to get to the position to be able to help others. I named this company Blue Collar Home Buyers to pay homage to the hard work we go through every day in our jobs. I found my blue collar success as a full time pipe welder for a career and running this company in my spare time in hopes of growing it into my full time business.
My personal life... I love hanging out with my best dog pal of a friend, Aspen, of course! I grew up racing motocross which was my biggest passion in my life other than real estate. I'm still an avid motocross fan but don’t compete like I used to. I also love hunting and fishing, and just spending time outdoors. I try to be very active in my lifestyle but also love me a good lazy day on the beach! I value the importance of mental health, spirituality, and believe your mindset shapes the world around you!
